Job summary

Mercy Health in Lima, OH is seeking a Radiology Technologist at St. Rita's Medical Center to perform diagnostic imaging with ionizing radiation under supervision.

You will obtain patient histories, position patients, protect against exposure, and assist licensed practitioners with radiographic procedures. Responsibilities include documentation, consent verification, collaboration with a multispecialty team, and adherence to sterile technique.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification in Diagnostic Radiology is required.
• State licensure preferred, depending on location.
• BLS certification required at hire for some Mercy Health locations; preferred prior to independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient clinical history and lab work for licensed practitioners.
• Positions and immobilizes patient to demonstrate anatomy of interest.
• Minimizes exposure through radiation protection principles.
• Operates imaging equipment to perform radiographic procedures.
• Verifies informed consent and completes pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures.
• Adheres to aseptic technique as needed; performs required timeouts.
