Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or a related patient care field required.
• Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEG.T) is necessary.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through AHA or Red Cross is mandatory.
• One year of recent experience in epilepsy long-term monitoring is preferred.
• Knowledge of EEG testing and instrumentation is essential.
• Competency in long-term epilepsy monitoring techniques is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor electrophysiological data on patients using audio/visual equipment.
• Perform long-term EEG monitoring for adult and pediatric patients.
• Assist physicians in reading and interpreting EEG and clinical seizures.
• Maintain daily logs of patient status and report information to coworkers.
• Compile and forward billing information to the work leader.
• Prepare for recording and care for patients with invasive electrodes.
