Job description

Position Summary

As a Non-Registered EEG Monitoring Technologist, you will monitor electrophysiological data on patients during full‑time nights (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) in a technologically advanced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather data using closed‑circuit audio/visual equipment and electrophysiological recording instruments.
• Use surface recording electrodes and other recording instruments to capture EEG data.
• Perform record‑keeping using the computer and maintain daily logs of patients’ status.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or a related patient‑care field, or two years of direct patient‑care experience may substitute for the degree.
• Successfully obtain the ABRET credential for R. EEG T. (Registered EEG Technologist) within two years of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
• One year experience as a non‑registered EEG Technician, or first‐year completion of an associate’s degree in Electroneurodiagnostics may substitute for this experience.

Physical Requirements

• Assist with positioning and transporting patients, pushing beds, carts and wheelchairs.
• Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Potential exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids.
• Corrected hearing and vision within normal range.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Follow standard precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.

Compensation

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $20.77

Maximum hourly: $31.68

The pay range reflects the anticipated range for new hires. Actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range does not include shift differentials, overtime, or the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package (healthcare, dental, vision, retirement savings, etc.).
