Vibra Healthcare, LLC. is seeking a PRN Dietitian to join our team at the Rehabilitation and Critical Care Hospital of the Black Hills in Rapid City, SD.

You will be responsible for comprehensive nutritional care, including assessments, counseling, and implementing therapy orders for both inpatients and ambulatory patients. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in dietetics, active RD license in South Dakota, and registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, with at least two

• Active Registered Dietitian license in state of employment required.
• Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required.
• Minimum two (2) years of hospital clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nutritional assessments and evaluations for hospitalized and ambulatory patients.
• Provide patient counseling and education on nutrition.
• Develop and monitor nutrition care plans; implement orders as appropriate.
• Monitor adherence to prescribed nutrition therapy and re-evaluate regularly.
• Oversee planning and directing of the nutrition office.

We are seeking a PRN Dietitian to join our team!

Hospital Details

Located in Rapid City, South Dakota, the Rehabilitation and Critical Care Hospital of the Black Hills is equipped with 36 inpatient medical rehabilitation beds and 18 long-term acute care beds. As a new cornerstone of specialized care in the region, our hospital uniquely combines two levels of care under one roof. This integrated approach allows us to offer comprehensive care solutions for patients who've suffered a range of debilitating injuries, illnesses, surgeries, and chronic medical conditions. At the Rehabilitation and Critical Care Hospital of the Black Hills, we are dedicated to delivering advanced treatments and compassionate care to help our patients recover and regain their independence.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the quality of nutritional care provided to both hospitalized and ambulatory patients. Performs nutritional assessments/evaluations and makes dietary recommendations. Provides patient counseling and education. Develops nutritional care, and monitors and implements changes as appropriate. Implements nutrition therapy orders and verifies implementation of orders. Monitors and evaluates patient's adherence to, acceptance of, and tolerance for prescribed nutrition therapy. Re-evaluates/updates nutrition care on a regular basis. Accountable for the planning and directing of the nutrition office.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Current, valid, and active license and/or certification to practice as a Registered Dietitian in the state of employment required.
• Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required.
• Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience in a hospital setting required.

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor preferred.
• Knowledge in modern principles and practices of dietetics preferred.
• Knowledge in safety and sanitation standards applicable to hospital food service preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
