Job summary

Cura-Hospitality is seeking an experienced registered dietitian to join our healthcare team in Pittsburgh. You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and work to improve residents’ quality of life aligned with their goals.

You will provide expertise to the health care team, educate patients and staff, and ensure compliance with practice standards and facility regulations. This role supports continuous quality improvement and collaborative planning across departments.

Qualifications

• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the healthcare team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
