Job summary

Cura-Hospitality is seeking an experienced registered dietitian to join our healthcare team in the Pittsburgh area. In this role you will assess patients’ nutritional needs, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with physicians and care staff to support quality of life and recovery goals.

You will apply the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, participate in care planning, and contribute to ongoing QA initiatives while educating patients and staff about nutrition best practices.

Qualifications

• Passed the national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others regarding nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Participating in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
