Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking an experienced registered dietitian to join our healthcare team in Pittsburgh. As a registered dietitian, you will assess nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiate interventions to maintain nutritional status, and contribute to quality of life aligned with individual goals.

You will educate the care team, adhere to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, collaborate with other departments, and participate in continuous quality improvement programs.

Qualifications

• Must have passed a national exam by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible per Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years per CDR standards.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients, staff, and consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining services and nutrition.
• Actively participate in developing and revising continuous quality improvement programs.
