Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition or related major; and completion of coordinated program or dietetic internship of not less than 900 hours under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian. Experience in chronic disease management programs preferred.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Fluent in English required; Spanish bilingual preferred.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions furnished in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Licensed and Registered, or registration eligible, Dietitian in the state of Texas. Certified Diabetes Educator preferred. Or must be certified as Diabetes Educator within two years of employment.
Demonstrates working knowledge of the Internet, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and electronic health records software.
Ability to drive and have access to a car; maintain valid driver's license and auto liability insurance.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is exposed to a medical office environment having direct contact with patients and clients. Position necessitates bending, stooping, twisting, turning, walking, climbing step stools, sitting and standing for periods of time. Must be able to lift and maneuver at least 25 pounds.
