Job summary

We are looking to add an experienced registered dietitian to our healthcare team in Pittsburgh. As a registered dietitian, you will identify and assess the nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiate interventions to maintain nutritional status, and enhance quality of life in line with patient goals.

You'll educate staff and collaborate across departments to implement standards of practice and QA initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must pass the CDR exam or meet eligibility requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the healthcare team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in QA programs and continuous quality improvement.
