Job summary

Park Royal Behavioral Health Services is seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian to promote health and recovery within a behavioral health setting. The role includes diet planning, counseling, and collaborating with the treatment team in a large behavioral health system.

A Bachelor's degree in Dietetics/Nutrition and current RD eligibility or licensure is required, with preferred experience in eating disorders and substance use. A $5,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition or similar field acceptable for licensure.
• Experience with Eating Disorders and Substance use strongly preferred in facilities working with those patient populations.
• Current registered dietitian or eligibility for endorsement by the state.

Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and health plans to develop dietary-care plans and provide counseling.
• Approve menus and nutritional supplements.
• Advise patients and families on nutritional principles and diet plans.
• Provide nutritional assessments per policy and regulation.
• Review and approve facility menus.
• Counsel individuals and groups on nutrition and healthy eating habits.
• Consult with physicians to determine nutritional needs and restrictions.
• Participate in treatment team as appropriate.
• Promote health through education on nutrition and disease management.
• Monitor food service operations for nutritional and safety standards.
