Job summary

Cura Hospitality seeks an experienced registered dietitian to join our healthcare team in Pittsburgh. You will assess nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiate interventions, and support quality of life aligned with goals.

You will educate staff and participate in standards of practice, QA programs, and cross-department collaboration to optimize dining service and nutrition. Must hold CDR exam eligibility or pass, maintain CE hours, be licensed, and demonstrate ability to teach

Qualifications

• Passes national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field (nice-to-have).
• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care (nice-to-have).

Responsibilities

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
