DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the adult Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Program in a multidisciplinary team that includes nurses, social workers, respiratory therapists, and administrative staff to provide medical nutrition therapy.
- Identifies patients at various nutrition risk levels and assesses their nutritional needs with regard to age and disease‑specific requirements.
- Develops, implements, and records in the electronic health record (EHR) a nutrition care plan for all assigned patients.
- Continuously evaluates and monitors the effectiveness and outcomes of medical nutrition therapy interventions.
- Manages the delivery of nutrition care in assigned units and actively participates in medical rounds.
- Participates in the department’s special projects, performance‑improvement activities, and research initiatives.
- Provides nutrition lectures and in‑services to nutrition and medical staff as assigned.
- Collaborates with dietetic technicians and mentors dietetic interns or students.
- Assists with food‑service projects to improve patient satisfaction.
- May perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Foods and Nutrition/Dietetics and completing an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics internship.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification.
- Two (2) years of related experience.
- Demonstrated experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in an outpatient setting.
- Two (2) years of experience working with CF, pulmonary, or chronic‑illness patients.
- Demonstrated experience using the EPIC electronic health record system.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre‑employment physical.
- Life‑support certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, etc.) must include hands‑on practice and an in‑person skills assessment; online‑only certification is not acceptable.
PAY INFORMATION
Annual Full Pay Range: $93,632 – $123,584 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%).
Hourly Equivalent: $44.84 – $59.19.
