Job summary

Apple Rehab in Connecticut is seeking a Registered Dietitian for our long-term care facility. This full-time role involves 32 hours per week and focuses on comprehensive nutritional care, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with Dietary Managers, Nursing, and Administrators.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with clinical and production experience in long term care.
• Certified by the State of Connecticut as a CD-N.
• Knowledge of dietary practices, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines as they apply to long term care.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and flexible; cooperative team player with patience and tact.
• Valid driver’s license with vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nutritional care for residents in the facility.
• Ensure compliance with Food Service regulations and standards of practice.
• Counsel and/or direct Dietary Managers, Nursing, or Administrators as deemed necessary.
• Participate in weekly At Risk meetings and monitor resident weights and nutrition intake.
• Make recommendations regarding resident diets and supplementary needs.

Role Description:

Registered Dietitian provides comprehensive nutritional care for residents in the facility. Ensures compliance with Food Service regulations and standards of practice offering counsel and/or directive to Dietary Managers, Nursing, or Administrators as deemed necessary. The Registered Dietitian participates in weekly “At Risk” meetings, monitors resident weights and nutrition intake as well as makes recommendations regarding resident diets and supplementary needs.

Qualifications:
