Qualifications

• At least one year (12 months) of previous working experience within the last 36 months (3 years) as a Registered Dietitian.
• Ability to build rapport with patients.

• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association).
• Must have up to date credentials in the state of CA.

Responsibilities (may include but is not limited to)

• Providing timely documentation of nutritional care in accordance with policy through nutritional assessment/progress notes.
• Conducting diet counseling to all patients.
• Assessing the dietary and health needs of patients.
• Counseling patients on food and nutrition.
• Developing meal plans for clients and gauging the effects of these meal plans.
• Attending and participating in team meetings, unit/dietary meetings and nutrition meetings.
• Observing patients at mealtimes.
• Providing assistance in the management of food production.
• Attending professional meetings/seminars as appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned.
