Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a traveling to California, full-time position on a day shift. You will conduct nutrition screening, assessment, education, and therapy per orders, and tailor meals to residents in a skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities include menu development, staff education, regulatory compliance, and maintaining accurate records. Competitive hourly pay ranges from $40.00 to $45.00 with benefits such as health, dental, vision, 401K, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian in California is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition or Dietetics preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nutrition screening, assessment, education, and therapy per physician orders and regulations.
• Provide nutritious meals and supplements tailored to residents.
• Develop and revise menus to meet residents’ needs.
• Review and improve meal preparation and service processes.
• Develop in-service and orientation programs for food service staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct nutrition screening, assessment, education, and therapy according to physician’s orders and in compliance with Federal and State laws, and Company requirements
• Timely and accurately provide nutritious meals and supplements catered to our residents
• Implement and revise menus to meet the residents’ needs as needed
• Review current systems in place pertaining to preparation and service of resident meals, and make modifications as necessary
• Develop in-service and orientation programs for Food service personnel
• Evaluate department on a regular basis to ensure compliance with State and Federal health department regulations
• Work with other resident services accordingly to fulfill resident plan of care goals
• Maintain a safe and sanitary working environment
• Maintain all records and documentation according to Federal, State and Company requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Work Experience

• Registered Dietitian in the State of California
• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition or Dietetics preferred
• Good written and verbal communication skills
