Job summary

RegalCare at Quincy is a leading skilled nursing facility dedicated to delivering exceptional care and support to our residents. We are seeking a passionate Registered Dietitian to join our team and help residents achieve their health goals through personalized nutrition plans.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess nutritional needs, develop tailored interventions, monitor progress, and educate residents and families in a warm, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
• Current registration as a Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• State licensure as a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RDN) or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in clinical nutrition, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
• Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, dietary guidelines, and therapeutic diets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents upon admission and as needed.
• Develop individualized nutrition care plans based on residents' medical conditions, dietary preferences, and cultural considerations.
• Provide ongoing nutrition education and counseling to residents and their families.
• Monitor residents' nutritional status and dietary intake, and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to nutrition and food service.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning discussions.
• Stay abreast of current research and best practices in nutrition and dietetics.
