Job summary

RegalCare at Glen Ridge in Medford, MA is seeking a Registered Dietitian to enhance residents' quality of life through personalized nutrition care plans and ongoing education. You will evaluate dietary needs, tailor interventions, and monitor progress with the care team.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Nutrition/Dietetics, CDR registration, RDN licensure eligibility, and 1–2 years in clinical nutrition. A $3500 sign-on bonus is available, paid at 6 and 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
• Current registration as a Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• State licensure as a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RDN) or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in clinical nutrition, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
• Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, dietary guidelines, and therapeutic diets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents upon admission and as needed.
• Develop individualized nutrition care plans based on residents' medical conditions, dietary preferences, and cultural considerations.
• Provide ongoing nutrition education and counseling to residents and their families.
• Monitor residents' nutritional status and dietary intake, and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to nutrition and food service.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning discussions.
• Stay abreast of current research and best practices in nutrition and dietetics.
