  • Prepare treatment rooms by setting up trays, instruments, and materials before each patient.
  • Mix dental materials, manage instruments, and perform allowable procedures under Arkansas scope of practice.
  • Document accurate treatment notes and services rendered in the patient record.
  • Escort patients to and from the operatory and provide clear postoperative instructions.

  • Chart patient treatment and support accurate, complete documentation.
  • Notify the appropriate team member if follow-up is recommended after an appointment.
Treatment Room Management & Sterilization
  • Keep operatories clean, stocked, and organized at all times.
  • Clean and disinfect treatment rooms following OSHA and CDC guidelines.
  • Sterilize instruments and handpieces according to OSHA and office protocols.
  • Maintain sterilization logs and ensure compliance with documentation requirements.
  • Manage dental laboratory cases, including sending, receiving, and tracking.

  • Dental radiography (X-ray certification)
  • Coronal polishing permit
  • Nitrous oxide monitoring permit
  • Any additional permit required by ASBDE
  • Ability to adhere to OSHA, CDC, HIPAA, and Arkansas infection-control requirements.
