Job summary

Choice-Healthcare-Services in Sacramento, CA, seeks a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) for orthodontics. This role supports orthodontic care delivery, prepares treatment rooms, instruments, and patients, passes instruments, and assists with procedures.

The position offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus, competitive pay $20.77–$27.84/hr based on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates must hold California RDA license or orthodontic assistant license and X-ray certification, with BLS

Qualifications

• California RDA or orthodontic license required or equivalent.
• X-ray certification required.
• Coronal Polish and Sealant certifications preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• 3+ months related experience or training may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in orthodontic procedures.
• Operates x-ray equipment and takes x-rays.
• Performs prophylaxis (prophy) and instructs patients on oral hygiene.
• Charts treatment plans with the doctor.
• Sterilizes instruments and prepares rooms.
• Sets up and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment; takes IOs.
• Charting and sealants as applicable.

Education

California Registered Dental Assistant or Orthodontic Assistant License

X-Ray Certification

Coronal Polish Certification

Current BLS certification

Sealant Certification, preferred

Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) - Orthodontics - $2,500 Sign-on Bonus

Summary: The Registered Dental Assistant supports orthodontic care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.

Pay Range: $20.77-$27.84/hr (Based on experience)

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures

• Instructs patients on oral hygiene

• Charting
• Sealants, if applicable

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

• Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or trainingOR Equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
