Job summary

West San Jose Modern Dentistry in San Jose, CA is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support the dentist in delivering high-quality patient care. You will assist with exams, take x-rays, prepare rooms, and help ensure a smooth patient experience.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, state certifications, and relevant dental training. We offer benefits including health insurance, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and a supportive team in a busy San Jose practice.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED with mandated state training courses.
• State-mandated certifications/licensure as required by state (e.g. radiograph exposure, coronal polish).
• Associate degree or one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by focusing on optimal treatment for each patient.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment; prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors to enable efficient, quality dental care.
• Take x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed by the dentist.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories per ADA guidelines.
• Comply with State, Federal, and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.).
