Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; state certification/licensure as applicable.
• Associate degree or certificate in dental assisting or related field preferred; continuing education encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist to gain patient commitment for best possible treatment with urgency.
• Participate in delivering a positive patient experience.
• Keep a clean, sterile, and cheerful treatment environment; assist doctors during procedures.
• Take and process x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed by the dentist.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatories according to ADA guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with State and Federal safety regulations and HIPAA.
