Apollo Beach Modern Dentistry is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to support the dentist in delivering high-quality patient care. The role involves chair-side assistance, x-ray imaging, intra-oral photography, and educating patients on oral health, while maintaining strict infection control and regulatory compliance.

The position emphasizes teamwork, patient experience, and adherence to safety guidelines to ensure efficient, quality dental treatment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and state-mandated training courses for certification/licensure
• State-required certifications/licensures (e.g., radiograph exposure, coronal polish, ultrasonic scaling)
• Associates degree or 1-year certificate from accredited program preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency
• Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by addressing patient needs and concerns
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and prepare patients for treatment; assist doctors to provide efficient care
• Take X-rays and intra‑oral pictures as directed
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatories per ADA guidelines
• Comply with State, Federal, and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.)
