Job summary

Smyrna Modern Dentistry is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to support the dentist, manage patient flow, and maintain a clean, compliant clinical environment. You will assist with procedures, take x-rays, educate patients, and help ensure high-quality care while following safety guidelines.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and relevant dental training or certification. This role emphasizes patient care, professionalism, and teamwork in a busy clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; state-m mandated training may apply.
• Associate degree or certificate preferred; related dental training valued.
• Certifications/licenses as required by state for dental support roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist to gain patient commitment for the best treatment with urgency.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors during procedures.
• Take and process x‑rays and intra‑oral photos as directed by the dentist.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatories per ADA guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and related regulatory policies.
