Salary: $20.00 - $27.00 / Hourly

The primary responsibilities of a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) include performing patient care, office, and laboratory duties. Key duties involve assisting the dentist to gain patient commitment, utilizing x-ray to promote the dentist's qualities, educating patients with intra-oral pictures, using effective chair-side skills, and supporting the dentist’s diagnosis.

The RDA must comply with safety regulations, infection control, and permitted duties as per state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist to gain patient commitment for treatment with urgency.
• Participate in delivering the Perfect Patient ExperienceÔ by focusing on patient needs and concerns.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and welcoming environment; prepare patients and assist the doctors.
• Perform x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed by the dentist.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following ADA guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, with required state-specific training for certification/licensure.
• Certifications/licenses as mandated by the state (e.g., radiograph, sealant application).
• Associate degree or certificate from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience preferred.
