We are seeking Dental Assistants who are passionate about working with children to be a part of our School Based Dental Program in the Philadelphia School District. Our program provides preventative and comprehensive dental care to children ages 5 to 18, in a safe and familiar environment. Services include oral health education, routine exams and cleanings, dental fillings, sealants, and fluoride treatments.

This is a wonderful opportunity for those who enjoy working with children and would like to positively impact them in learning about good oral health. Together, with the support of parents, caregivers, district and school personnel, we deliver great smiles that lead to great futures!

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with set-up and breakdown of treatment room.
  • Prepare patient, instruments, and materials.
  • Sterilization of all equipment.
  • Take/process x-Rays using digital Radiography equipment.
  • Assist in 4-handed dentistry.
  • Any other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Certified or Registered Dental Assistant with x-Ray Certification
  • Two (2) years of experience working chair side preferred
  • Able to work with portable/mobile equipment
  • Familiarity with computers and dental software
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable/own transportation, and willingness to travel locally
  • Able to work well with children
  • Passionate, friendly, and caring individual
  • Prior Pediatric Dentistry experience preferred
