Job summary

Wayne UNC Health Care is seeking a CT/MRI Technologist to perform CT and MRI exams, apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic imaging, and ensure procedures meet department protocols.

You will confirm orders, prepare patients, administer contrast media, monitor safety, and enter charges while maintaining high standards of patient care in a per diem, onsite role with variable hours.

Qualifications

• Completion of two years of formal Radiologic Technology training.
• Knowledge of CT and MRI protocols.
• Ability to read orders and patient screening information.
• Demonstrates patient education and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT/MRI equipment per departmental protocol.
• Demonstrates knowledge of CT/MRI procedures and anatomy.
• Confirms orders and completes screening questionnaires/contrast forms.
• Provides educational information to patients regarding examinations.
• Administers contrast media and IV therapy; knowledge of IV procedures.
