First Capitol Animal Hospital in St. Charles, MO, is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. This full-time role leverages your surgical and anesthesia expertise in a supportive, patient-focused environment.

The candidate will care for patients during surgeries and dental procedures, monitor anesthesia, and discuss treatment plans with clients. Schedule includes Monday–Saturday shifts with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting.
• Current Missouri Veterinary Technician License.
• Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, IV placement, dental procedures, radiographs, cystocentesis, microscopy, and client education.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.
• Ensure an efficient surgical and procedural workflow, anticipating needs of the veterinary team and patients.
• Communicate with clients to review treatment plans and provide discharge instructions with empathy.

This is an excellent opportunity for skilled technicians eager to fully utilize their surgical and anesthesia expertise while making a meaningful impact on patient care.

In this role, you will:

Provide exceptional patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.

Ensure an efficient surgical and procedural workflow, anticipating the needs of the veterinary team and patients.

Communicate with clients to review treatment plans, answer questions, and provide discharge instructions with empathy and clarity.

This role is ideal for detail-oriented technicians who are passionate about anesthesia and are ready to work at the top of their license in a supportive, team-focused environment.

This is a full-time position, with a schedule consisting of Monday through Saturday shifts.

• Compensation: $22-$26 per hour, for each hour worked*

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
