Clinical Dietitian I provides services in the inpatient and/or outpatient setting as assigned. Responsibilities include preparing and implementing nutritional assessments with care plans for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in accordance with departmental policies and standards of care. The role involves prioritizing high-risk patients using the multi-patient task list, MD consults/referrals, or other means, and initiating medical nutrition therapy interventions as part of the patient's individual care plan. The dietitian incorporates current evidence-based research into clinical practice and acts as a liaison between Nutritional Services, Medical Staff, Nursing Staff, and other departments. Key responsibilities include providing nutritional counseling to patients, families, and others as requested.
