Bon Secours is seeking a Registered Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic, non-invasive and invasive cardiac studies using ultrasound equipment. The role covers Transthoracic Echo, Transesophageal Echo and Stress testing, with on-call hours required.

Required: Associates degree in related cardiovascular field (preferred), BLS, and credentialed echocardiography (RDCS or RCS). EPIC/EHR and PACS experience preferred. Minimum one year experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in an applied health science field with a concentration in cardiovascular technology, ultrasonography or related study (preferred).
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association.
• Credentialed in echocardiography (RDCS or RCS).
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer (preferred).
• EPIC EHR experience and PACS experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates ability to perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
• Maintains knowledge of cardiac anatomy, exam procedures, and interpretation of results.
• Prepares and monitors patients before and during procedures.
• Utilizes the EMR to review patient information and document critical findings.
• On-call hours required.

Job Summary:

The Cardiac Sonographer performs diagnostic, non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams on patients using ultrasound testing equipment to evaluate the heart. The testing modalities include Transthoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, and Cardiac Stress testing.

Essential Functions:

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound testing equipment to evaluate the heart during Transthoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, and Cardiac Stress testing examinations.
• Demonstrates ability to proficiently perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac anatomy, exam procedures, and interpretation of results.
• Prepares and monitors patients before and during procedures.
• Utilizes the hospital electronic medical record to review patient information and document any critical findings.
• On call hours required.

Education:

• Associates degree in an applied health science field with a concentration in cardiovascular technology, ultrasonography or other related study (preferred)

Licensure/Certification:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (required)
• Required credentialed in echocardiography by one of the following organizations:
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

Experience:

• Minimum of one year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer (preferred)
• EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience (preferred)
• Picture archiving communication system (PACS) experience (preferred)

Range:

• Minimum: $35.82
• Maximum: $55.52
