Job summary

ABRITE Organization seeks a part-time Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 ABA-based intervention for children aged 1–18 in Santa Cruz County across home, center, preschools and community settings.

Afternoon shifts are available (2:00pm–6:00pm). Spanish speaking is a plus. We offer paid training, possible advancement after RBT certification, and mileage reimbursement as part of our commitment to flexible schedules and supportive team supervision.

The ABRITE Organization is seeking part‑time Behavior Technician (otherwise known as Behavior Interventionists or Registered Behavior Technicians) to provide behavioral intervention with children 1 to 18 years of age in Santa Cruz County. Services are delivered in the home, center, preschools and community settings. Hiring for Part time Afternoons - 2:00pm-6:00pm availability. Spanish speaking is preferred but not required.

Details of the position: The position entails delivering 1:1 behavioral instruction to the children in our program in their natural environment, after extensive initial and ongoing training on the methods of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Our RBTs are taught to deliver teaching across developmental domains while taking data on all learning targets with the overall goal to increase skills while decreasing problem behaviors that interfere with learning. After training, all behavior technicians who meet performance criteria can sit for the RBT exam (with reimbursement for 1 test fee). If the exam is passed within 90 days of employment, employees will be eligible for a promotion and increased compensation.

Spanish speaking is a plus, but not a requirement. Driving is a key requirement for this position to effectively carry out the responsibilities of the role. As such, a valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance may be required, particularly in situations where alternate modes of transportation are either unavailable or not deemed reasonable.
