The ABRITE Organization is seeking part-time Behavior Technician (otherwise known as Behavior Interventionists or Registered Behavior Technicians) to provide behavioral intervention with children 1 to 18 years of age in Santa Cruz County. Services are delivered in the home, center, preschools and community settings.
Hiring for Part time Afternoons - 3:00pm-6:00pm! Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
The position entails delivering 1:1 behavioral instruction to the children in our program in their natural environment, after extensive initial and ongoing training on the methods of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Our RBTs are taught to deliver teaching across developmental domains while taking data on all learning targets with the overall goal to increase skills while decreasing problem behaviors that interfere with learning. The desired applicant should be available anywhere between 3pm - 7pm on the days they are available, as this is the timeframe that sessions tend to occur. After training, all behavior technicians who meet performance criteria can sit for the RBT exam (with reimbursement for 1 test fee). If the exam is passed within 90 days of employment, employees will be eligible for a promotion and increased compensation.
