Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Autism Services of Kansas is seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and energetic Behavior Technicians in the Shawnee, Kansas area to join our team! You will be responsible for the implementation of direct one-on-one interventions for children with Autism to teach communication, social, and daily living skills, as well as reduce problematic behaviors. You will work in the home, community, and school settings. RBTs will be supervised to implement programs developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Must be willing to drive to various client locations; mileage compensation is included.

Responsibilities:

• Implementation of Direct 1:1 programming/interventions
• Implementation of treatment plan goals developed by BCBA
• Implementation of Behavior Intervention Plan developed by BCBA
• Accurately collects behavior data
• Follows the treatment plan goals and interventions developed by the BCBA
• Collaborate with BCBA and work to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment
• Functions within boundaries and guidelines of an RBT role in providing treatment

Qualifications:

• High school Diploma
• Experience with children with autism or other disabilities
• Positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and accept feedback
• Have a valid Driver’s License
• A clean criminal background check
• Good references
• Reliable means of transportation
• Must hold or be willing to obtain and maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician as issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

Physical Requirements:

Bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, turning, twisting, standing for extended periods, reaching, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

An ideal RBT candidate will:

• Complete their RBT modules within 10-14 days of accepting an offer. Online RBT modules are company provided and MUST be completed prior to your start date. Please note that the RBT modules contain 40 hours of material to learn.
• Register and sign up to take their RBT test on the BACB website within 30 days of completing RBT modules.
