Job summary

ALAY Home Care is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who is caring, compassionate, and dependable. The RBT will work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior support strategies under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Pay rate is $35/hr. Responsibilities include implementing interventions, supporting reduction of challenging behaviors, communicating with families, and data collection.

Qualifications

• RBT certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, special education, or related field.
• 1 year of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Ability to work under BCBA supervision and follow intervention plans.
• Background in autism or developmental disabilities.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical documentation.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention strategies designed by the supervising BCBA.

• Provide compassionate, clear communication with families to help them understand treatment goals.
• Monitor client progress and report observations to the supervising BCBA for plan updates.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, special education, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is Required.
• 1 year of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification
• Ability to work under BCBA supervision and follow established intervention plans
• Background in working with children, especially those with autism or other developmental disabilities.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and experience with medical or clinical documentation is an advantage.
• Solid foundation in behavior management strategies and special education methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth in behavioral health and developmental support.
