Job summary

West Hartford Public Schools is seeking a full-time registered behavior technician at Morley Elementary School. Prior preschool experience and familiarity with students with social-emotional-behavioral needs are preferred.

Responsibilities include collaborating with pupil services staff to implement IEP goals, collect data, and support students’ behavioral and academic needs. Rate of pay is $30.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Completion of required training including 40-hour online course, supervision hours by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
• Passing score on the RBT Competency Assessment.
• Must pass the initial RBT examination and annual recertification process.
• Must have current certification or be able to obtain certification in Physical Management Training.
• Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, have demonstrated completion of high school or equivalent/higher, and pass all necessary background checks.

• Maintain and report student records.
• Communicate with classroom teachers regarding student progress.
• Perform Physical Management in the event of an emergency.
• Discharges duties in accordance with RBT Ethics Code.
