Job summary

Newington Public Schools seeks a dedicated paraeducator/RBT to support data collection and behavior assessment within our student programs. You will prepare for data collection, implement measurement procedures, and document outcomes with graphs and objective notes.

Ideal candidates hold RBT certification, demonstrate strong communication, and can work independently while collaborating with teachers, therapists and families to support student progress and behavioral plans.

Qualifications

• Certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required.

• Generate objective session notes by describing what occurred during sessions.
• Effectively communicate with supervisor.

Required Physical And Mental Effort And Environmental Conditions

• Ability to hear normal sounds with some background noise and to communicate effectively.
• Ability to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption.
• Ability to attend to task/function for more than 60 minutes at a time.
• Ability to remember multiple task/assignments given to self and others over long periods of time.

Minimum

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Certified Registered Behavior TechnicianTM (RBT®)

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree; or
• Coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development or related fields
