Job summary

Our Child Therapy in Virginia is seeking a passionate, experienced Behavior Technician to join our team. You will deliver Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children and families in client homes and at our Suffolk location, implementing treatment plans with support from the BCBA and Clinical Director.

This full-time, in-person role offers a 40-hour week, a $24-$28 hourly pay range, paid training, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience with children and strong people skills.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs regularly.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
  • Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders required.

Responsibilities

  • Work effectively with children.
  • Collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Clinical Director.
  • Conduct comprehensive data collection and maintain session reports.
  • Implement behavior-based treatment plans.
  • Educate parents on classroom support techniques.
  • Ensure safety and quality care for clients.
  • Establish professional relationships with parents, colleagues, and community resources.
  • Maintain training materials and supplies.
  • Advocate for children and families, facilitating referrals to community resources.
