The Maricopa Unified School District is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician to provide behavior support services to students. In this role, you will collaborate with teachers to implement behavioral plans, assess student needs, and record necessary data for behavior interventions.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, training in Applied Behavioral Analysis, and must maintain RBT certification. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package and requires physical capability to intervene as needed.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Registered Behavior Technician
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt Classified Compensation Plan, 9-Month Work Calendar; 40/Week FT (District Medical Benefit Package for 40 hr./wk. Position)
REPORTS TO: Principal and Assigned Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA)
The Registered Behavior Technician will provide intensive behavior support services to students in-district. The RBT will work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to implement behavior support plans for students that require consistent and significant behavioral support during the school day. The Registered Behavior Technician will meet all of the requirements of RBT certification.
Required: High School diploma or GED. Required - PRAXIS or Work Keys test accepted, or Associate’s degree, or 60 college credits. Minimum of formal training in theories of Applied Behavioral Analysis or Behavioral Support Interventions and successful completion of the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training course and examination for certification. Must maintain annual RBT certification. Valid Arizona DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance card.
Preferred: A minimum of 2 years of previous experience working with students who require behavior support.
Hours will be in relation to the school site hours.
