Job summary

Ascend Rehab Inc. seeks a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support our community-based preschool program. The role starts part-time with growth toward full-time to build caseload, under supervision of a BCBA/BCaBA, in a collaborative, structured setting.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group ABA services, collect data, and collaborate with families, teachers, and therapists to support development.

Qualifications

• Active RBT certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree or graduate status required.
• Minimum 1 year experience with children aged 0–5.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Comfortable with diaper changing.
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person supervision to RBTs as appropriate.
• Conduct parent trainings integrated into families’ treatment plans.
• Review SOAP notes for accuracy, completeness, and timely documentation.
• Assist with treatment planning and Canva materials for reference during sessions.
• Provide extra in-session support for higher-complexity clients and coach RBTs when BCBA unavailable.
• Coordinate reschedules and makeup sessions with families and teams.
• Assist BCBA with data compilation and progress report sections under supervision.
• Onboard and train new hire RBTs when BCBA is unavailable.
• Answer RBT questions about treatment plans, programs, behaviors, and data collection.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Preschool / Clinic

Location: Manteca, CA

Job Summary

Ascend’s Little Miracles Program is seeking a Full-Time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support our community-based preschool program serving children,with developmental delays, learning differences, sensory processing needs, and communication disorders. This will start on a part-time basis, but targeting full-time to build you caseload.

The RBT will provide ABA-based interventions under the supervision of a BCBA/BCaBA and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support children’s growth and development in a fun, structured environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide in-person supervision to RBTs as appropriate.
• Conducting parent trainings that are incorporated into families’ treatment plans.
• Reviewing RBT SOAP notes for accuracy, completeness, and clinical quality, and ensuring documentation is completed within 24 hours of the date of service.
• Assisting with treatment planning and creating Canva treatment/program materials for RBTs to reference and utilize during sessions.
• Providing additional in-session support for higher-complexity clients, including coaching RBTs and helping with implementation when the BCBA is unavailable.
• Assisting with reschedules and makeup sessions when an RBT calls out or when we have advance notice of a family vacation/cancellation and can coordinate a makeup session.
• Supporting the BCBA with compiling and reviewing client data and assisting with appropriate sections of progress reports under BCBA oversight.
• Assisting with the clinical training and onboarding of new hire RBTs when the BCBA is unavailable.
• Serving as an additional point of support for RBTs when they have questions regarding treatment plans, programs, behaviors, data collection, or other clinical concerns.
• Implement behavior intervention plans as designed by a BCBA/BCaBA
• Provide 1:1 and small-group ABA services in a preschool/community setting
• Collect and document accurate data and session notes
• Support children with daily routines, transitions, communication, and social skills
• Assist with diapering, toileting, and maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and ethical guidelines

Minimum Qualifications

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (required)

• Bachelors Degree - Graduate

• Minimum 1 year experience working with children ages 0–5

• CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)

• Comfortable with hands-on care including diaper changing

• Reliable, professional, and able to work as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention
• Bilingual (preferred, not required)
• Coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, or ABA
