Job summary

Ellington Public Schools is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to implement individualized behavioral interventions and collect data to support IEP services. You will work under a BCBA supervision and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in Ellington, CT.

Responsibilities include executing BIPs, data collection, direct instruction, and coordinating with teachers and paraprofessionals to integrate behavioral strategies in daily routines.

Qualifications

• Current RBT certification.

Job Description

Ellington Public Schools is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), This role involves implementing individualized behavioral interventions, collecting data, implementing IEP services and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs): Carry out strategies designed to address challenging behaviors and promote skill acquisition, under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Data Collection and Analysis: Accurately record and monitor student behaviors and progress toward goals, providing essential information for ongoing assessment and plan adjustments.
• Direct Instruction: Deliver individualized or small-group instruction to students, focusing on skill development and behavioral goals as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Collaboration with Educational Team: Work closely with teachers, paraeducators, and other staff to integrate behavioral strategies into daily classroom activities and routines.

Qualifications

• Certification: Current RBT certification
• Experience: Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or other developmental disabilities

• PMT Training: Hold PMT certificate or be willing to be trained

Working Conditions: This is a 10-month position with benefits and follows the school calendar. Rate for the 2026-2027 school year is $25.22/hour, 33.75 hours per week.
