Role Description
G.E.M.S. ABA Therapy is seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in Concord, NC. As an RBT, you will work directly with children diagnosed with autism and related developmental differences in home and daycare settings. You’ll implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and play a vital role in helping children grow and thrive.
Responsibilities:
• Implement 1:1 ABA therapy based on individualized treatment plans
• Collect and record data on client behavior and skill acquisition
• Support clients in developing communication, social, daily living, and behavioral regulation skills
• Apply ABA strategies and behavior intervention techniques ethically and consistently
• Maintain clear and ongoing communication with supervising BCBAs and team members
• Uphold client dignity and prioritize their well-being and progress
• Participate in team meetings, ongoing training, and supervision sessions
Qualifications:
• Active RBT certification through the BACB (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Experience with behavior intervention and working with children preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and follow behavior plans with consistency
• Reliable transportation to travel between client locations
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred
