Job summary

Center for Human Services - Missouri is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to support individuals through ABA therapy under BCBA supervision in Columbia, MO. You will implement individualized plans, document daily notes, and communicate progress to supervisors and families.

The role requires at least 6 months in developmental disabilities or related behavioral supports, 18+ years old, a valid driver's license, and RBT credential upon hire.

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older
  • At least 6 months experience in developmental disabilities, training/teacher role, or related behavioral supports
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Able to pass a background check
  • RBT-Credentialed through the BACB upon hire
  • Must complete required trainings
  • Must present a valid driver's license
  • Must provide proof of personal valid vehicle insurance

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one treatment to individuals needing ABA therapy
  • Implement and maintain feedback from the supervising BCBA
  • Implement goals under BCBA supervision
  • Provide feedback on client progress to supervisor
  • Develop professional relationships with caregivers and provide progress feedback
  • Facilitate teaching of communication, self-help, social, and other targeted goals
  • Maintain accurate data collection according to the treatment plan and progress
  • Adhere to BACB ethics and Center for Human Services policies
  • Observe confidentiality and HIPAA standards

Position Summary

The Registered Behavior Technician, under the direct supervision of the BCBA, implements therapy to support individuals in service needing applied behavioral and related supports to improve their daily functioning and independence. This position utilizes ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) techniques such as positive reinforcement, shaping, prompt fading and task analysis to create individualized plans for clients, families, and teams to implement. Additionally, the technician is responsible for documenting daily notes and reporting to the BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) on updates in behavior as needed.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one treatment to individuals in need of applied behavior analytic therapy in any and all locations deemed necessary to support the individual in services.
  • Implement and maintain feedback provided by the treating BCBA.
  • Implement goals under the supervision of a BCBA.
  • Provide adequate feedback regarding the progress of the client to the supervisor.
  • Develop professional relationships with caregivers, providing adequate feedback regarding client progress.
  • Facilitate teaching of communication, self-help skills, social skills, and many other targeted goals.
  • Keep and track accurate data collection according to the treatment plan over goal progress.
  • Adhere to the ethical standards of the BACB and Center for Human Services.
  • Observe confidentiality and HIPAA standards.
