Job summary

Children With Opportunity is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our on-site team in Grain Valley, MO. Under BCBA supervision, you will support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder through individualized ABA sessions, collecting data and reinforcing skills in communication, social interaction, and daily living tasks.

We offer both part-time and full-time hours, with pay ranging from $19.00 to $22.00 per hour, and paid training to obtain certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Background check required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
• Understanding of HIPAA and adherence to policies.
• Professional and ethical conduct, with attention to accuracy and thoroughness.
• Familiarity with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ABA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 1:1 and small-group ABA therapy in clinic or community settings.
• Implement ABA treatment programs as written by the BCBA.
• Collect data to monitor progress and effectiveness of treatment plans.
• Provide hands-on, direct care following ABA principles.
• Collaborate with OT, PT, and Speech Therapy teams.

Position Summary:

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) plays a key role in creating meaningful learning opportunities for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In this role, you will support the development of communication, social, and daily living skills through individualized, evidence-based interventions.

RBTs work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and other RBTs to ensure each child receives high-quality, coordinated care. This position helps bring treatment plans to life by providing consistent support, encouragement, and hands-on guidance to help children reach their fullest potential.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Interested in a graduate degree in ABA, OT, PT, SLP, Early Childhood Special Education or other related field (preferred)
• Criminal background check
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a CPR certification

Physical Requirements

Ability to bend, kneel, crouch and spend time on your feet as well as an ability to lift items up to 25 lbs on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality 1:1 and group ABA therapy to clients in a clinic-based and/or community- based setting.
• Implement ABA treatment programs as written by the BCBA.
• Collect data to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the individualized treatment plan utilizing data collection software.
• Provide hands-on, direct care while following the principles of ABA.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team including OT, PT, and Speech Therapy.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, confidentiality and mandated reporting standards as set by Children With Opportunity.
• Communicate clearly and effectively - both orally and written - with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Update BCBA on common trends, new behaviors, and challenges/successes with clients
• Attend meetings, trainings, and workshops to acquire further knowledge

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour (eligible for annual performance-based increase)

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
