Qualifications

• Master of Architecture degree or equivalent required.
• Licensed/registered with SACAP as Professional Architect.
• Minimum 7 years of post-registration architectural experience.
• Proven ability to lead architectural projects from concept to completion.
• Strong design ethos and leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; knowledge of construction methods and codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural projects through all phases of design and construction.
• Manage project teams, assign tasks, and mentor colleagues.
• Develop and present design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and standards in SA.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and consultants for seamless delivery.

This role involves guiding projects from initial concept through to successful completion, ensuring design excellence, technical proficiency, and client satisfaction. You will lead design teams, coordinate with consultants, and manage project execution, playing a key role in shaping significant developments within the region. The ideal candidate is a licensed architect with a proven ability to manage projects, a strong design ethos, and excellent leadership skills. This position utilizes a hybrid work model, combining collaborative sessions at our Upington office with the flexibility of remote work. Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural projects through all phases of design and construction.
• Manage project teams, assign tasks, and provide guidance and mentorship.
• Develop and present design concepts and solutions to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and professional standards in South Africa.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other consultants to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Oversee the production of detailed architectural drawings and specifications.
• Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and quality.
• Resolve design and construction issues effectively.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure project objectives are met.

Requirements

• Master of Architecture degree or equivalent.
• Registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) as a Professional Architect.
• A minimum of 7 years of post-registration experience in architectural practice.
• Proven experience leading architectural projects from concept to completion.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design quality and project leadership.
• Proficiency in architectural design software, including Revit and AutoCAD.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet demanding deadlines.
• Must be able to work a hybrid schedule, attending our office in Upington, Northern Cape as required.
