Job summary

Cypress Pointe Health & Wellness is seeking an RN or LVN for an evening shift (2pm-10pm) as a Charge Nurse. This full-time role supports resident care by leading the interdisciplinary team, administering medications, and ensuring compliance with nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed LVN or RN with a valid license (compact state license acceptable).
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow established nursing practices and implement community programs, policies and procedures.
• Obtain report from nurse being relieved and provide report to nurse on duty; record information for follow-up actions.
• Conduct resident rounds daily and report problems to supervisor with corrective actions.
• Follow staffing guidelines and assign nursing tasks based on staff qualifications and resident needs.
• Comply with pain assessment/management/documentation, provide treatments and deliver medications.
• Administer and document direct resident care, medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Provide instruction for appropriate nursing care to licensed nurses and nursing assistants.

The Job

Our LVN's and RN's work to ensure that each resident attains or maintains the highest possible level of functioning by providing quality nursing care and by working with the interdisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

Position and Schedule

• Position: RN or LVN (Charge Nurse)

Responsibilities

• Follow established standards of nursing practices and implement community programs, policies and procedures
• Obtain report from nurse being relieved and provide report to nurse coming on duty; record sufficient information to implement appropriate follow-up action as necessary.
• Conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems to supervisor and initiating corrective action
• Follow staffing guidelines and make nursing assignments according to qualifications of staff and characteristics of the resident population
• Comply with community processes related to pain assessment/management/ documentation, providing treatments and delivering medications
• Administer and document direct resident care, medications and treatments per physicians’ orders and accurately record all care provided
• Provide instruction for appropriate nursing care to licensed nurses and Nursing Assistants

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing
• Unencumbered LVN or RN license or Compact State License
• Proof of current CPR certification and ability to work flexible schedules
• Minimum 1 year experience as an LVN or RN in a clinical setting preferred
