Job summary

Cypress Pointe Health & Wellness in Houston is seeking RN or LVN (Charge Nurse) for the evening shift to deliver high-quality nursing care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident functioning.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, active LVN/RN license (or Compact), CPR certification, and at least 1 year of clinical experience, with a schedule from 2pm to 10pm and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing.
• Unencumbered LVN or RN license or Compact State License.
• Proof of current CPR certification and ability to work flexible schedules.
• Minimum 1 year experience as an LVN or RN in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Follow established standards of nursing practices and implement community programs, policies and procedures.
• Obtain report from nurse being relieved and provide report to nurse coming on duty; record sufficient information to implement appropriate follow-up action as necessary.
• Conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems to supervisor and initiating corrective action.
• Follow staffing guidelines and make nursing assignments according to qualifications of staff and characteristics of the resident population.
• Comply with community processes related to pain assessment/management/documentation, providing treatments and delivering medications.
• Administer and document direct resident care, medications and treatments per physicians’ orders and accurately record all care provided.
• Provide instruction for appropriate nursing care to licensed nurses and Nursing Assistants
