Job summary

The New Mexico Department of Health seeks a strategic leader to head the Northeast Region's WIC program, guiding policy implementation, service delivery, and operations across nine clinics.

Reporting to the WIC Program Director, the incumbent will align state policy with field practice, manage personnel, and drive continuous improvement, training, and stakeholder collaboration.

This role requires a Bachelor's in relevant field and significant WIC or health program management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a social, community, health, education, or nutritional field; five years' WIC or related health experience.
• Two years of management experience in duties related to the classification.
• Education/experience substitutions allowed per policy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regional WIC operations and ensure program compliance.
• Manage nine clinics and a team of 22 staff.
• Develop and enforce WIC policies and train staff.
• Lead staff performance evaluations and hire processes.
• Analyze clinic workflows to optimize service delivery and resolve conflicts.
