Job summary

San Francisco Public Utilities Commission seeks a System Operations Manager for the Water Supply and Treatment Division. You will direct and develop System Operations personnel, manage facilities including SCADA and treatment plants, and coordinate budgets, contracts, and staffing to ensure nonstop drinking water services.

The role requires a track record in leadership, regulatory compliance, and water operations, with appropriate licenses and a valid CA driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Four years of verified managerial experience in oversight of operations, engineering, or regulatory compliance of water treatment facilities.
• Possession of a State of California Grade V Water Treatment Operator Certificate or a California PE license; and a valid CA driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and control Water Supply and Treatment Division facility operations in coordination with other divisions and partners.
• Establish cooperative working relationships with department personnel, customers, and agencies.
• Prepare and present communications; monitor results of analyses, scheduling, resource deployment, and training for RWS operation.
