Veolia is seeking an Operations Technician to support multiple wastewater facilities across the region. The role emphasizes covering vacations, assisting in training local teams, and supporting start-up projects at new sites.

You will adapt to varying shifts, ensure compliant operations, and contribute to safe, reliable plant performance. Travel is a key component, with extended periods away from home as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in wastewater treatment operations.
• Strong communication and mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to travel, including extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete operational coverage of Veolia facilities during vacations and unplanned absences with schedule flexibility.
• Develop and train local technicians, including hands-on visits and electronic training materials.
• Ensure industry standards and best practices are used in testing, maintenance, and operations.
• Support new account start-up projects with SWOT team and training of technicians.
• Troubleshoot process issues and support proactive decision-making by local staff.
• Operate pumps, valves, and motors to regulate flow in WWTPs.
• Collect and test wastewater samples and record data accurately.
• Comply with safety programs and maintain data records for regulatory bodies.
