Job summary

Veolia | North America seeks a Traveling Wastewater Operations Technician to cover multiple client facilities during vacations and absences. The role includes on‑site operation, training development, and compliance with lab and maintenance procedures.

You will travel regionally, train local technicians, and support new account start-ups, coordinating with the SWOT team to establish reliable operations and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google equivalents.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills.
• 3+ years of wastewater treatment plant operations or related experience.
• Willingness to travel and join a traveling work role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational coverage at Veolia facilities during vacations and absences.
• Train and develop local technicians; create electronic training materials.
• Ensure industry standards, lab testing procedures, and maintenance practices.
• Support new account start-ups and coordinate with SWOT team.
• Operate pumps and valves to regulate wastewater flow; collect samples.
• Maintain accurate client data and assist with regulatory reporting.
