Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Wastewater Operations Technician to support multiple contracted client facilities across the region. The role covers vacations and absences, trains local teams, and assists with new account start-ups. Travel is significant, with extended periods away from home as necessary.

You will operate pumps and valves, collect wastewater samples, keep accurate records, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards while coordinating with the SWOT team on new projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Wastewater treatment plant operations or related field.
• Willingness to travel for extended periods (1–2 weeks, up to a month).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational coverage of Veolia-operated facilities during vacations and absences.
• Develop training resources for local technicians and coordinate on-site training visits.
• Analyze lab data and implement process changes to prevent non-compliance.
• Operate pumps, valves, and motors to regulate flow in WWTP; collect and test samples.
